It is not first about the friend in your life, it is first about you and who you are. Social and psychological anxieties should not make you weak and keep you in the self-sabotaging cycle of hurts and disappointments. You should understand the promise that “love will find you”, but do not jump the process of doing things the right way. Every man is not your husband, every good friend is not your lover; some are best just as friends. Forced relationships through subtle manipulations will not work. If anything, it will backfire and hurt you. Trust and wait on God who has declared to give you a future and an expected end and He will make it happen, for His thoughts and plans towards you are thoughts and plans of good (Jeremiah 29: 11).
